6H started the day with a fantastic assembly about harvest. As well as making soup and preparing for tonight’s harvest supper entertainment, Miss Hill and her talented class also managed to prepare the super show this week. They told us about the history and traditions of harvest, and even managed to showcase their language skills as they ordered food in French! Linking with their ‘It’s not fair’ topic, they cleverly showed the importance of fair trade, and how we can all do our bit to help. The important message of “there is no I in harvest” came across clearly as they asked us for donations for the food bank. Well done to 6H and Miss Hill for our first class assembly of the year; you have set the bar very high! A special thank you to Marley who took on the role of collecting in donations for the food bank this morning. What a great example of an upstanding Strandite.
